Tiles

Using ceramics and photography, Esther has developed her own way of exploring the ever changing light of the East Lothian coastline. Through her work, Esther hopes to connect us with a special memory or place and has a passion for capturing the dramatic light that is cast through cloud or created by a colourful sunset, both traditional features of Scottish Landscape painting. Her atmospheric ceramic paintings are the perfect gift for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, house-warming, as a memento of a visit to a well known Scottish castle, monument or landmark or for anyone who loves Scottish culture and heritage.

Esther also produces beautiful Giclee fine art prints from her tile designs as well as cards, fridge magnets and mugs.

Esthr’s ceramic paintings are all original. Each one is unique and hand painted with colour underglazes and then fired in a kiln at 1100 degrees centigrade. Ceramic transfers she created are then applied and the tile is fired again at 800 degrees centigrade. Esther’s tiles are waterproof and washable and can either be hung decoratively or used as part of the tiling in a bathroom or kitchen.
