CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING WILL BE SENT ON RECEIPT OF DEPOSIT AND COMPLETED BOOKING FORM. We will also contact you for the remaining payment one month prior to your stay with details regarding key collection etc.
TERMS & CONDITIONS: TANTALLON VIEW COTTAGE AND THE CABIN
Making a booking for the holiday accommodation at Halfland Barns Schoolhouse, North Berwick constitutes acceptance of our terms and conditions listed below.
1: THE SELF-CATERING BOOKING CONTRACT
1.1 The contract entered into is between Frances Gardiner and Esther Cohen and the person making the booking.
1.2 The contract is not effective until full payment has been received and confirmation sent to the hirer.
2: BOOKING THE HOLIDAY COTTAGE AND CABIN
2.1 Booking cannot be accepted from young people under the legal age of 18
2.2 The maximum number of people occupying this self-catering holiday let must not exceed the maximum agreed by the owner.
2.3 The person who takes the booking and signs the booking form will be responsible for all persons included in the booking and should ensure that they are aware o the booking conditions, especially that no liability is accepted for any loss, damage, illness or injury however caused, during the holiday, to any of the guests, their property, or any car, boat, trailer, bicycle or contents. Guests should ensure they have travel insurance.
2.4 Frances Gardiner and Esther Cohen reserve the right to decline any booking or refuse to hand over a key to any person who has not complied with the booking terms and conditions.
3: TO MAKE A BOOKING
3.1 Check that the house is available by either looking on the online availability calendar or by contacting us by phone or e-mail.
3.2 Complete all parts of the booking form.
3.3 A non returnable deposit of £100 per week (£200 per week if both properties are booked together) is payable on booking, and the remainder of the rent is payable 4 weeks prior to your holiday.
4:CANCELING YOUR HOLIDAY
4.1 In the event of cancellation less than 4 weeks before your holiday, a charge of 50% of the rent will be made, unless the property can be relet, in which case the deposit will alone be forfeit.
4.2 If unforeseen circumstances prevent the property being available for letting during the agreed period, the liability of the owner will be restricted to the return of all money paid at the time. It is recommended that travel insurance be taken out to cover any risk resulting in not being able to take up the holiday.
5: BOOKING CHANGES
5.1 Please contact us should there be any changes to the persons named on the booking form.
6: DAMAGE OR LOSS
6.1 The Hirer agrees that he/she are responsible for ensuring that the property is not damaged by any people in their party.
6.2 To be responsible for leaving the property or properties in good order and tidy condition otherwise a charge will be levied from the damage deposit. A charge will also be applied for any excess cleaning or stains to carpets or rugs.
6.3 To pay for whatever damage caused excluding reasonable wear and tear incurring during the holiday.
7.1 Occupancy shall be from Saturday 15:00 to Saturday 11:00, unless special arrangements have been made.
8: DOGS AND PETS
8.1 Both properties welcome dogs.
9: DESCRIPTION OF THE HOLIDAY
9.1 Whilst Frances Gardiner and Esther Cohen have taken all responsible steps to ensure that the information contained in the website and advertising literature is accurate, they reserve the right to alter, substitute or withdraw any service, facilities or amenity.
10.1 We cannot accept responsibility for any material loss, damage, additional expenses or inconvenience directly or indirectly caused by or arising out of the property, it’s plumbing or heating, electrical appliances or services or exceptional weather.
10.2 No responsibility is accepted for loss or damage of property, vehicles or vehicle contents belonging to the hirer or any member of their group.
